As a Senior Security Engineer, you will enable SIG's success and growth by working in concert with business and technology groups to provide sound and secure solutions to many of SIG's most difficult problems. To meet this challenge, you must have a strong understanding of a broad range of technology domains and disciplines coupled with a strong understanding of security philosophies and how to apply these skills to enable SIG's continued growth. You must demonstrate hands-on technical mastery, combined with ability to absorb, contribute to and champion holistic architectural models. Essential Functions Develop, document, and communicate security related frameworks and models within which implementations occur Manage activities spread across several technology teams to develop, design and implement new security-centric solutions to meet business needs Function as a project team member in the development, design, and implementation of new technology solutions to meet business needs Develop documentation and provide training on newly implemented solutions to ensure continuity of support Lead or participate in the identification, evaluation and selection of new security technologies and tools. Troubleshoot and resolve production problems that escalate beyond existing support structures Research, draft, and edit Risk Assessments |
| Job Requirements: |
Minimum of five (5) years of systems administration experience in UNIX, Linux, Windows, and/or networking required Minimum of four (4) years experience with support and implementation of enterprise level information security technologies such as: Firewalls, IDS, VPNs, Authentication/authorization systems, Content management systems and Vulnerability assessment tools required Experience in enterprise architecture and design Strong understanding of security philosophies and disciplines and how to apply them to enable SIG's continued growth Familiarity with industry standards and best practices coupled with the ability to rationalize them to meet SIG's business objectives Strong project management skills Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and communication Scripting skills (UNIX shell, perl, etc.) a plus Bachelors degree in a technology related discipline strongly preferred |
